Baker is an unincorporated town in Okaloosa County, Florida. It is located about 10 miles (16 km) northwest of the county seat, Crestview, in the Florida Panhandle. The Baker Block Museum is in Baker. On January 13, 2001, at approximately 10:45 a.m. , a tornado traveled east through Baker, first damaging the side of the post office, then crossing Highway 4, and finally ripping through Baker School. Five classrooms were damaged and sixteen people were injured.
